Our teachers are committed to fully supporting each child on their learning journey, in an environment conducive to learning. At the same time, students are encouraged to develop their own independent working patterns. The Bales student is hard-working, aspirational, organised and independent.
Our co-curricular programme throughout the school supports and extends students’ learning in the classroom. We undertake regular local trips and visits to venues in and around London. Your son or daughter will experience an education at Bales that will enable them to thrive in our ever-changing world.
We look forward to meeting you.

History at Durham
“Bales was a great environment to get ready for university. I felt I had freedom, but mixed with lots of structure and support to make it through the courses and exams, and find my true interests”
